Curling stone model
A CAD study of a curling stone: visual language, component layout, and an assembly-ready model.
Tools & skills
- CAD
- 3D modelling
- Assembly design
- Visual research
The brief
This example shows the intended structure of a fully developed portfolio entry. The project explores how a familiar sporting object can be understood as a set of precise, manufacturable components.
Process
I started by breaking down the stone into its visible and functional parts, then developed the geometry as an assembly. The interactive viewers below make it possible to inspect both the final assembly and an exploded arrangement.
Outcome
The result is a clean reference model that connects visual research with an assembly-ready CAD workflow. Replace this example copy, the GitHub link, and the video segment with the real project material when it is available.
